Fresh Meat will return!
Channel 4’s student comedy drama Fresh Meat is to return for a second series in 2012. Alongside this, Channel 4 have re-commissioned E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls. Fresh Meat is written by Peep Show creators Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain and it stars comedian Jack Whitehall and Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas.
The Channel 4 head of drama, Camilla Campbell, said that:
"I am delighted that our strong series output has been recognised with a double recommission. Our series continue to reach the heart of the 16-34 audience, and consistently bring loyal viewers to Channel 4 and E4."
Jack Whitehall (@jackwhitehall) also tweeted:
“FRESH MEAT has been re-commissioned for a second series. Whoop whoop!”
The second series of Fresh Meat has been commissioned midway through its eight-part run and although nothing has been finalised at this stage, it is thought that the student comedy drama will return in late 2012.
